Ninja vs Samurai - Rotoscope

This is an animation which was created for a module during my time at the Leeds Metropolitan University. Rotoscoping is mostly known to be frame by frame stills traced over live footage in order to achieve a unique motion picture style. However when creating the animation above, I took a much longer route to achieve the desired look, I created my own animations in 3D and traced them frame by frame, and merged different clips together.

3D animations created in 3D Studio Max
Rotoscoped in Adobe Photosop
Composited in Adobe After Effects
